Is there an extra cost for travelling solo?

We believe solo travellers should not have to pay more to travel so our group trips are designed for shared accommodation and do not involve a single supplement. Single travellers joining group trips are paired in twin or multi-share accommodation with someone of the same sex for the duration of the trip. Some of our Independent trips are designed differently and solo travellers on these itineraries must pay the single trip price.

Day 1

Vancouver

Arrive any time.

Day 2

Vancouver/Whistler

Leave Vancouver behind and travel to Whistler this morning. Visit the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre and go on an interpretive guided tour of the museum. Spend a free afternoon in this beautiful, easy-going mountain town.

Day 3

Whistler

Enjoy a free day to explore Whistler. Opt to ride a gondola to the top of the mountain, hike, or zipline.

Day 4

Whistler/Kelowna

Drive inland through the coastal mountains as you travel to Kelowna in the Okanagan Valley. Stop for a tasting at a local winery en route. Kelowna has become a foodie haven in recent years – opt to visit one of the many fun places to eat later this evening.

Day 5

Kelowna/Revelstoke

Continue west today passing through the Okanagan Valley toward the small, quaint town of Revelstoke. Stop along the way for a picnic lunch on the beach.

Day 6

Lake Louise/Banff

Continue to Lake Louise, view the emerald blue waters of this alpine lake, and opt to hike to one of the Tea Houses. Lake Louise is that iconic Canadian Rockies locale. Don't miss the chance to snag the perfect photo.

Day 7

Banff/Calgary

Discover the beautiful town of Banff; opt to view wildlife, take a gondola ride, or hike up a mountain for spectacular views. Travel to Calgary in the early evening and opt for a final night out with the group. With free time most of the day, Banff has tons to offer. There are plenty of optional activities for all interests and activity levels. It's also just as pleasant to wander the main streets, pop in and out of shops or walk along the river.

Is travel insurance required for my trip?

Travel insurance is compulsory in order to participate on any of our trips. When travelling on a group trip, you will not be permitted to join the group until evidence of travel insurance has been sighted by your leader, who will take note of your insurance details. When selecting a travel insurance policy we require that at a minimum you are covered for medical expenses including emergency evacuation and repatriation. A minimum coverage of USD200,000 is required. We strongly recommend that the policy also covers personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects. Some tours include adventure activities that require extra coverage (e.g. crampon use); please review your itinerary and make sure that you are covered for all included activities. If you have credit card insurance we require proof of purchase of the trip (a receipt of credit card statement) with a credit card in your name. Contact your bank for details of their participating insurer, the level of coverage and emergency contact telephone number.
